Young Nephrologists Travel Support
The Conference Organizing Committee is pleased to announce the Young Nephrologists Travel Support, dedicated to supporting promising early-career researchers and encouraging their active participation in the scientific community.
The programme aims to enhance the scientific value of the conference by supporting the participation of outstanding young scientists who can contribute to discussions, knowledge exchange and networking during the event.
Selected participants will receive support covering travel and accommodation costs, while other highly ranked applicants will receive complimentary conference registration.
Who can apply?
The programme is open to Young Nephrologists who meet all of the following criteria:
- are 40 years old or younger at the year of the conference;
- are active ERA members
- demonstrate scientific achievements;
- are interested in participating in the conference and contributing to scientific discussions.
Available support
A total of 20 Travel Support awards will be granted to the highest-ranked applicants. Additionally, the next 20 highest-ranked applicants will receive conference fee.
Travel Support includes:
The Organizing Committee will cover travel and accommodation expenses up to the following maximum amounts:
- up to 400 EUR – applicants travelling from outside Europe
- up to 300 EUR – applicants travelling from European countries
- up to 100 EUR – applicants travelling from Hosting Country
The support will be provided in the form of direct booking and payment of travel arrangements and accommodation by the Organizing Committee. Selected participants will be asked to provide:
- preferred travel dates;
- departure and arrival locations;
- preferred travel route (flight/train details, if applicable).
Based on the provided information, the Organizing Committee will arrange and purchase the necessary travel tickets and accommodation.
Please note that the support amount is a maximum limit and does not constitute a cash payment.
Application process
To apply for the Young Nephrologists Travel Support Programme, applicants must submit the following:
1. Motivation letter
A motivation letter explaining:
- why you would like to participate in the conference;
- how participation will contribute to your scientific development;
- how your presence may contribute to scientific discussions and knowledge exchange during the event.
The motivation letter should not exceed 500 words.
2. Scientific achievements – selected publications
Applicants are asked to provide information about their most significant scientific contribution (up to 5 publications).. For each publication, please include:
- publication title;
- list of authors;
- journal or source where the publication appeared;
- link to the publication (if available).
Applicants should select publications that best demonstrate their scientific achievements and contribution to the field.
Selection procesAll applications will be reviewed by the Organizing Committee. Applications will be evaluated based on:
- scientific achievements;
- quality and relevance of submitted publications;
- motivation for attending the conference;
- potential contribution to scientific exchange and discussions.
The highest-ranked 20 applicants will receive Young Nephrologists Travel Support. The next 20 highest-ranked applicants will receive complimentary conference registration. The decision of the Selection Committee will be final.

Notification of results:
Applicants will receive information about the outcome of their application within one week after the application deadline.
Important information
- Travel Support is awarded only to selected applicants.
- The number of available awards is limited.
- Applicants who receive Travel Support are expected to actively participate in the conference..
- Travel arrangements and accommodation must be approved and organized through the Conference Organizing Committee.
- The support cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another person.
