Anna Matyjek
Anna Matyjek is a nephrologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Diseases, Nephrology and Dialysis at the Military Institute of Medicine – National Research Institute in Warsaw, and Principal Investigator of the BOOSTER Trial at the Medical University of Lodz.
She serves on the Board of the Young Nephrologists’ Platform of the European Renal Association (ERA), contributing to European initiatives in education, collaboration, and career development for early-career nephrologists. She was awarded the ERA Long-Term Fellowship (2023–2024) at the Medical University of Innsbruck, Austria, and the Walczak NAWA Fellowship (2025–2026) at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada. She is also an alumna of the GlomCon Virtual Fellowship and holds postgraduate qualifications in biostatistics from the Medical University of Lodz.
Her research focuses on glomerular diseases, clinical trial design and methodology, with a particular interest in advancing investigator-initiated trials in glomerular diseases in Poland.
